Yes you can, but if you try and use a VISA Electron in stores you will need your passport with you as identification.
Try not to use cash point machines as there have been quite alot of scams so go into the bank to draw money, it's safer in the long run.

I doubt it but ask the bank

If it has MAESTRO on the reverse of the card, then the answers yes, otherwise you;ll be able to use it possibly at cashpoints, but check with your own bank in the UK before trusting in it being accepted here. If it is accepted here, you will need to show other photo ID such as photocard driving licence, full only of course, or your passport

Yes you can. I live in Gibraltar and go to malaga a lot its just an hour and half away. In the shops usually all cards are accepted but they ask for and ID card if you have not got one make sure you have your passport with you.

Few retail outlets accept it even in the UK, although it is increasing. You are probably OK with most ATMs in Spain, including Malaga, especially Deutsche Bank's if you see one. But I would check with your bank first if I were you.
