Can someone tell me about the beaches on Costa del Sol in Spain?

Are there good swimming beaches there?

Most of the costa del sol beaches have the European green flag. This beautiful cost line in the south of Spain is enjoyed my people from all parts of the world as the weather is hot in Summer and warm winters which allow people to enjoy the sandy beaches and mostly warm sea.In my opinion Fuengirola and Marbella are ideal places for the beach style holiday for people of all ages, with or without children. Enjoy this wonderful costa del sol, Spain

Ok. I'm going to swim against the tide. I think that the beaches to the west of Malaga, in the Province of Malaga are not very nice.
Torremolinos for example Ugh!

There are green flags and green flags. The Andaluz flag is green.

The good beaches are to the East of Malaga and on the Atlantic from Tarifa to Chiclana in the Province of Cadiz. (Tarifa, La Barrosa, Trafalgar, Conil and so on).

I will never forget the sewage slick off Torremolinos a few years ago. Nor forgive!

Just have a look on Google earth.
