As long as the weather accompanies... Yes.
As the other answers have said.... it will be crowded and
you'll have fairly long queues....
And another thing...if there is no snow, and the weather is warm...you can drive down to the coast...and go to the beach!

Juna
Have been to the Sierra Nevada a couple of times over Christmas holidays and everything was always open.

Only thing was, it was terrifically busy! Had to wait absolutely ages for ski lifts.

Have a great time!

Juna is right.

Although it doesn't snow too much so early, Sierra Nevada has a great infrastructure for snow-making as long as the temperatures stay low.
BUT take a lot of patience with you. It will be extremely crowded so if you really want to ski, weak up early in the morning and enjoy the afternoons hiking or visiting around.

I hope you have a lovely time, I read in our local press last week that they are getting ready to open in the Sierra Nevada in 2 weeks time...........as for skiing - all depends on how much snow they get, but they will be well off and running by christmas................from a resident on the costa!
