Central but reasonable hotels in Barcelona? |
Hi There
Need advice on good B&B or hotel that is no more expensive than £100 and ideally is only around £80 per night. I want a central location - I thinkI want to be within walking distance of La Rambla but if anybody has any suggestions I am open to them.
Any advice would be so helpful - have been trawling through the internet all day with no luck!

When I went to Barcelona, I stayed in Barcelona Mar, which is a hostel, it was very cheap, but very nice! They even served complimentary breakfast in the morning, plus it is right by Las Ramblas. I enjoyed my stay there! |

I stayed at marina view B and B which is opposite the water and a few mins walk to La Rambla. I thought it was lovely. Its a flat converted into a B and B, no communal area but you get breakfast in your room at any time between about 7 and 11 if I remember right. Its about 100-130 euros a night. I found the guy that ran it very helpful with advice too. |

To be honest, 100 GBPounds is a reasoable budget for Barcelona these days. Have you not considered an apartment ? there are some great studio apartments or 1 bedroom places almost all close to the old town = las ramblas, and you have many more benefits to a hotel room.
Otherwise, 2 great (and safe) hotels around 3 star are Hotel Jazz on Pelayo, and also Hotel Inglaterra. Also check out apartur (the official web for tourist apartments in Barcelona) or http://www.bcn-rentals.com/barcelona-guide/ for a good head start! |
