Change money in spain? |
with the exchange rate falling in england, would we gain, as tourists, waiting to change money in spain. Thank-you |

I would just use the Spanish banks. If you have a Nationwide account you can withdraw money from Spain for free.
I now do this each time & it also gives you the exchange rate, always get your money in euros.
I always look for the Santander bank as it's part of the Abbey group & I've never had a problem at all.
Sometimes, to get a good exchange rate in Spain you have to change over £1000 - always read the small print. |

You might, but for the little difference it will make, I wouldn't worry about it. If you change £500 you may be 5€ - 7€ better off. To get that you will have to search for it. If you are going on holiday why not buy euros from Marks & Spencers and then just enjoy your holiday. |

You should probably change your money, or most of it, while you are there, anyway.
Seriously. How much do you think it is going to change between now and when you are going to be there, anyway? Do you really think, in the larger picture of your entire holiday, that fifty pounds or so is going to make THAT much difference? |

The fluctuations on the International Money markets make very little difference to the average visitor on the Costas. The pubs and clubs will still only give you about €6 for £5 in the resorts.
You either give the banks the commission or the bars the commission, but you will always lose out. |
