Could anyone give me any ideas where to park a car in Barcelona. I am flying into Girona and driving Barcelona?

I've heard it's difficult to park in Barcelona & if anyone could give me details of a decent carpark or anywhere I'm likely to get a space please. I'm intending to visit: Catedral,Museu Picasso,Palau de a musica,Parc de la Ciutadella, Sargrada Familia,La Rambla,Parc Guell.
Thank you.

just came back from spain spent 2 days in barcelona, the only place where i noticed any car parking was down by the marina, which is at the bottom of the main drag.opposite the christopher columbus monument.did notice there was plenty of parking spaces for scooters.

Listen, don't drive, it's a nightmare trying to park.

I've been to Barcelona twice. Both times I flew to Girona, and then my parthner and I got the local bus into Barcelona, there was a metro station right beside it called Arc de Triomphe (not sure of the spelling), but getting around Barcelona on this metro is an absolute doddle, nothing to it! It is by far the most convenient way. Other than walking, and most of the sights you want to see are practically beside each other, except for Parc Guell (take the bus number 24 from Placa Catalunya, it brings you to one of the side gates) and Sagrada Familia is on the metro line as well.

Don't hire a car, too expensive and it just won't be worth the sheer misery and hassle it will cause you. If you want to use a taxi the odd time, negotiate the rate with the driver before you get in the car.

Why would you drive at all?
Driving and parking in BCN is a nightmare and in any case completely pointless for getting from one place to another within the city. Everyone I know here with cars only uses them to get out of the city.
If you are flying to Girona then you can take the regular bus service that is scheduled to meet every flight, that goes from just outside arrivals (buy tickets on the landside arrivals hall) right into central Barcelona (Estacio del Nord bus station, right next to 'Arc de Triomf' metro station.
The best way to get around BCN is to walk. If you are in a rush or lazy you can use public transport which is excellent and cheap, or a taxi which is also cheap (available taxis have a green light).
If you are determined to drive into the city there is a network of car parks run by Saba and I have added their link below (you cans elect to have the site in English).
If you have other mobility issues and that is why you need a car, post a new question and I'll give you some additional info. Honestly, a car will simply be more trouble than it's worth!

Listen to the people above. There is no parking near any of those places, except a little near the Parc Guell. Save yourself the hassle. The metro is your friend.

Park the car? Wow...it´s a nightmare.Look,we live near Barcelona. My husband works there and we never bother taking the car there. If you´ve got a hotel booked in Barcelona, just leave the car there and take the underground (metro) which is easier and cheaper than the car (car parks are very expensive as well).
The best advice I can give is try avoid bringing a car into the city centre if you can. You will save a lot problems if you don't.

Barcelona has an excellent public transport system. The Barcelona metro system can take you almost everywhere that you need to go. If you can’t get to your destination by metro then buses or taxis are readily available and offer a low-cost transport option.

But Ok so you’ve decided to “brave it” and bring your car into the city centre. You have a number of options open to you.Note that the car parks in general do not give any guarantees of security but they are a lot safer than leaving your car on the street...
Here´s all the car parks in Barcelona.Just write your destination and you´ll find the nearest car park http://www.onaparcar.bcn.es/english/ion_aparcar.htm
