I would contact the Spanish Embassy in London and ask their advice.
You would need to learn Spanish I would imagine as the courses will be in Spanish. I think the best idea is to study dentistry in the UK and learn Spanish in your spare time. I believe it would be very difficult to be learning a language whilst studying in the same language. If you are a qualified dentist then come over here to Spain.
The Brits are coming here in their thousands. There will be some excellent opportunities in the future. Good luck. |

I do not expect any dentistry college in Spain would accept you without a minimum of A level Spanish and would require a certificate frrom the Institute Cervantes as a minimum.
Study Dentistry in England and learn Spanish for light relief.
Another point, your name appears to be of Indian origin. You would probably find it very dificult to find Spanish patients and would have to live off tourists. Most Spanish believe that India is still in the times of Sandokan!
Many dentists are however, from Argentina so foreign dentists are not unusual. (the UK is full of South Africans and Australians)
Another point is that Spain is not the UK. Dentistry is mainly private and there are many dentists. There is competition and dentistry is as good as in the UK if not better.
The guy who says that he would not go to a Spanish dentist proves my point. He is ignorant and there are racist overtones. Just what you could expect in Spain as a foreign dentist.
Note. All Spaniards know that the British have bad dentistry; the have all seen the 'Cow & Chicken' cartoon.. |

I'm sorry, this isn't going to answer your Q but I agree with the person who suggested studying dentistry in UK and learning Spanish at same time.
I'm English living in Spain and after 2 years of dental disasters now go back to UK for proper, responsible (and cheaper!) dentistry. If you qualify in UK and come out to Spain to practice you won't need to speak Spanish as you will have millions of happy UK expat patients! I can't imagine it's difficult to get a certificate to practice here as 3 of the not-wonderful dentists I've been to are from East Germany.
Good luck - let us know how you get on. |

www.ua.es is, for example, the homepage of the University of Alicante. From what I overheard on the beach here, the Dept. of Medicine is very good. Check their website is all I can suggest.
For other universities put into the webcrawler "universidad de(town)". But don“t expect to find English pages there. Quite good Spanish will be necessary for the classes!!! |

I go to an English dentist, and sometimes a German one. I get quotes from both for treatments. They are both good dentists. It's only personal but I wouldn't go to a Spanish dentist. Just feel more secure with a Brit and German.
The real issue is not only learning Spanish, and your Spanish will have to be very good to study anything in a Spanish University, with dentistry, that starts off exactly the same as when you study medicine, then branches off to concentrate on the dentistry side. So not only will it be in Spanish but so will all the technicalities. For example, learning really good Spanish takes time, and that's without having to learn the names of all the bones, body parts, in Spanish. Diseases, names of equipment. etc etc.
So those who said, study in the UK, have the best idea |
