Reus is about 70 miles from Barcelona and takes 1 hr 20 mins on the bus. Other options are a bus or taxi to Reus station and the train to Barcelona. The advantage of this is that the trains run more regularly than the Reus airport bus service, but you'll add to your travel time.

Ryanair only fly to Reus or to Girona airports. Both these airports are close to Barcelona. You need to book with bigger airlines to fly into Barcelona city airport. I use Ryanair all the time to fly to Reus or Girona, but get friends to pick me up.
