Do i need a work permit for magalluf? |
hi there, i have decided to fly to magalluf tomorrow to look for some work for the next few months at least. Do i need a work permit for this? Also does anyone know where may be looking for bar staff out there? |

If you are a citizen of the European Union you do not need a work permit, but you should register your residency after three months, you don't have to though, i know plenty of people who haven't. Just go round to the bars and hand in your CV.

As the others have said, if you are EU resident then no work permit needed. You will however need an NIE number (which you can apply for at the main police station) - employers need this, you stand a better chance of getting work if you have your NIE. |

Hi there no work permit needed for UK citizens but in my experience the spanish won't employ you unless you speak fluent spanish.There are plenty of english wanting staff though.Have a great time |

of course you will need a working visa or what they call here a residency. I agree with most of the people here, you can find a lot of jobs in Mallorca if you speak fluent spanish or german.
Try to search for more things in the newspapers in la vanguardia http://www.lavanguardia.es/ and of course try to go to www.infojobs.net., but again if you don´t speak spanish it will be hard for you.

Your language makes you sound American. If my guess is correct, then, yes, you need a work VISA (not a permit). Which is gotten through the government, and takes time to get.
If you are from an EU country, then, no. You don't need a work visa, but you still are less than likely to find any work...it's tough these days.
Just curious, what is the big draw in Magaluf? I had never heard of it until recently, and everyone here seems to be going there? Where is it? |
