We just don't like invasions: no problem with foreigners if they are not in ghettos, because it's very sad and even painful to see foreigners just dealing with people from the same country, without any relation to Spanish people, without knowing anything of Spain and the Spanish culture, and especially, if they live better than most Spaniards.
We like integration, and, if there is, we have no problem with the ex-pats. It's not good if you're british for example, and you expect to have a british life in Spain. We like to think that we're important, that people like to live in Spain because they LIKE Spain, to think that we're not just an empty home.

I think that as long as they try to integrate themselves there shouldnt be any problems.

Salvador has given a very good answer. Places like Marbella and Benidorm are very populated by Brits and lack the same Spanish feel that other towns and cities around Spain have. I am a Brit living in Madrid and hate visiting these places (I only will do so for work) and alot of the Brits who live there won't even try to learn any Spanish or accept there culture.

From my experience, the Spanish people have a lot of time for someone who will accept their culture and try to learn their language but (understanderbly) dont like it when we ruin one of their towns by taking over it and turning it into a mini England.
