I've been 3 times and have always had a great time. You won't find much that is Spanish in Benidorm, but a short bus trip or train ride (both cheap) will soon show you the real Spain. Alternatively, you can take one of the many FREE full or half day trips that are available which take you to some great "must see" places. The only commitment is a half hour bedding demonstration, with no pressure to buy. Benidorm has so much to offer, whatever your taste, and the entertainment is wide and varied. The Old Town is interesting and offers more of a taste of Spain, and the theme park "Terra Mitica" is well worth spending a day at. Because they have so many years experience in catering for British visitors, the hotels provide good quality food and generally good standards.
Why do I return to Benidorm? Apart from the weather, for me it's the entertainment. There are so many places to choose from but my personal favourites are the Western Saloon & Morgans Tavern and the Rich B..tch Show Bar (in the Old Town). |

Hi! I'm from Spain.
Benidorm is a very spoilt resort, maybe the most spoilt one in Spain, full of very tall hotels, very crowded beaches (I don't like very very crowded beaches) and nothing many more.
It's fantastic if you go with friends and you only plan to drink, relax at the beach (with so many people, I'd not call it exactly "relax" lol) and especially for partying that is fantastic since it's full of young people (I mean, drunk young people :)) bars, clubs...
It's like Ibiza or Majorca but in the Peninsula and without the charming landscapes because there are only hotels and restaurants. |

NO WAY
I lived about a year close to Benidorm. Just noisy, just high rises, over full beaches (sardinas are comfortable in their cans). Too much drinking all day (and night) long. No way going back. I live now in the province of Murcia and I am happy here. |

It's like Blackpool transported to a warm climate. Don't expect to see any of the real Spain if you stay in Benidorm, it's just a British enclave. |

we live about 40 mins from Benidorm and often go there for a night out. It is nothing like the real spain but a great place for entertainment with plenty of cheap food drink and entertainment |
