Does Gibraltar really suck?

I've just had a recommendation against including Gibraltar in my trip to Spain. (It will be a late winter trip, so I was brainstorming warm, southern parts of the country.) Is it really a crappy place? Why or why not?

No offense to anyone from Gibraltar. I grew up partially in Alabama, and I freely admit that most of it does suck.
Additional Details
Yes, sorry, of course it is a UK territory. I just thought more Spanish people would be familiar with it than British ones, and because my larger trip is to Spain, I had that country on the brain.

I wouldn't go so far as saying it sucks....
However, Gibraltar is nice... but for a day trip, no more...
Visit the caves, which are historically interesting, and Saint Michaels Grottoes. The views of the coastline both african and european are excellent... And go up to the top and see the Barbary apes. (watch your belongings, they are crafty little fellows!)
The food is rather dissapointing... If I returned I'd eat at the Pizza Hut!
You can get reservations from any travel agency in southern Spain, and even from your hotel reception desk.
If you go by car, fill the tank while in Gib, it's less expensive than on the mainland. And once back in Spain, if you have time, take a drive west along the coast to Tarifa (no more then 30 to 40 min.)...for some of the most beautiful beaches possible! It's the best town in southern Europe for surfing - windsurfing... Tarifa is a very small town, the bars and restaurants in the center of town have some great tapas!
P.S. In late winter you may have fog, and a lot of wind, so bundle up. And if you can, go on a clear day, the fog can ruin the views, which are the most interesting part of the visit!

You should post this in the UK section, But it looks pretty in all the pictures

Gibraltar is fantasic. You can get a cable car to the top of the rock and the views are amazing. You can see the whole coastline of Africa! (unless theres fog)

Actually its a cool place, and if you have time, you can make a day trip to Tangier, just hop on a boat and can spend some time in Morocco for the day if you have time. The beaches are beautiful and the people are friendly! Enjoy!

I avoid the place. I live in Spain and Gib is just like the UK with sunshine. I can do without that.
Bear in mind that Gib can be cloudy due to what is known as the Levante cloud.
I live on the Costa Del Sol. This year we had superb weather between Jan 1st and mid February. Gib is close to the Atlantic which can have a cooling effect.

I personally do not believe Gibraltar to be a nice place, I found it tacky. It is not Spain. They spend British Pounds there, not the Euro. It will not be warm in February - maybe around 40-50F. But, it's your honeymoon. There are countless places in Spain that you could choose to visit and I think in comparison, Gibraltar will disappoint.

No. its a nice place to Visit.

you can book your tickects to Gibraltar

I'm not sure how much of a Warm, southern climate you think it is...I don't think there are any beaches, and I'd be willing to be that in the wintertime, it's not all that warm...might be stormy, but check the climate records. When exactly are you planning to go? Even the Costa del Sol isn't terribly nice during the winter months. (November through mid February, actually.)

I was planning it in for my last trip, but we had to cut it. I thought the apes might be especially fun for my eight-year-old. But time ran out on us.
