No, it doesn´t.
Actually the plain is very dry, because it is sorrunded of mountain ranges wich stop the clouds. It is called Föehn effect.
The rain stay mainly in the north coast ( Galicia, Princedom of Asturias, Cantabria and the Basque Country. |

to be earnest: No, unluckily. It stays mostly in Galicia (northwest of Spain) and in the Catabrian mountains, on the northern slope in the provinces of Euskadi and the Princdom of Asturias (to give you something to look for in your Enciclopedia Britannica) |

Yes it also rains in Navarra ;) But above the center... because the mountains stop the rain from passing down south

Well, I have lived on the Costa del Sol for 20 years, and when it rains......my goodness it rains!! And it comes down in straight sheets, and goes on for days sometimes, causing flooding etc and rising sea. So technically, the rain really does stay 'in the plain'.! |
