No Tesco or Sainsbury's. The big chain supermarkets are Mercadona, Mas-Y-Mas, and Carrefour. You will be able to get English goods in these. They will be quite expensive, so if you can bring what you need with you from the U.K., then you will save yourself a packet. However, the Spanish equivalent of most goods is of very good quality.

why on earth would you want tesco or sainsbury's ???
tesco quality is very poor, that's why their prices are so low and they are the most successful in britain. sainsbury is better quality but really not very good.
western europe is covered with good supermarkets - eroski, carrefour, mas-ymas, henri leclerc, mammouth, even lidl is much better than it is here.
then again, western europeans still have those really great little things that we used to have in britain, called "shops".
try going into a butchers. you can buy what you want, rather than the limited selection the supermarkets want to sell you.

I work for Sainburys so I am well informed to say that no there are no Sainsburys in Spain, shame I'd ask for a transfer lol.

I live in Spain and have asked Tesco and Sainsbury if they have stores in Spain - they both tell me no. Wished they did tho'.

Costa del sol........
We do have a very small supermarket which supplies Tesco goods, also a far amount of EX-pat shops which have just opened up selling just about anything you "miss" from the UK, also here in Benalmadena/Arroyo de la Miel, we have a chain of shops called - "costaless", which supplies a good variety of UK products, even a limited amount of Boots NO 7 cosmetics.............................

Sorry for you the answer is no, however a lot of the major supermarkets sell some brand names that you will be familiar with! but I must say I do use the supermarket and have always found the quality of a high standard.

No, wish they did though, However look for a chain of Hypermarkets called " Carafour" they sell very similar goods.

rtorto
Obviously no.

NO THEY DO NOT HAVE STORES IN SPAIN. THE NEAREST BRITISH STORE IS MORRISONS BUT STILL FAR AWAY FROM GIJON, MORRISONS IS IN MY HOMELAND GIBRALTAR.

Carousel
Sainsbury's only have stores in the UK these days. I've never seen Tesco's or any other UK supermarket here in Spain. The nearest is Morrison's in Gibraltar.
