Depends where in Madrid you mean, but yes in some parts of Madrid and the outskirts it definately snows it is cold there in the winter.

Yes it does.. I live in Spain.. the winters in the North are unreal.. tons of snow..like Canada.. where I am from. The really bad winters would be north of Madrid though.. but it does get some major dumpings of snow.

I´ve seen a few photos of Ávila and Segovia nearly buried in snow. These towns are not far from Madrid, but a bit higher in elevation.

Bet they don´t get as much snow as we just got West of
Denver, though. Anybody looking at skiing, we´re gonna be back in business, now!
