The mains plugs and sockets are different from the US.
WARNING!
The voltage in Spain is 220 volts; the US uses 110 volts. So if you plug in your hairdryer with an adaptor there is a big bang and a cloud of smoke! I don't know what an ipod would do.
You can buy a 220 volt to 110 volt transformer and adaptor in the States before you go. They should have them at international Airport shops.............but.
Better buy a charger for your ipod when you get to Spain.

The plugs are different and so is the voltage. For items that have one of those black boxes on the cord you will only need a plug adapter but if there is no box on the cord you will need a converter and a plug adapter.
If you know someone who travels alot maybe you can borrow one, but be careful because the converters are rated for different watts. My mom blew up my converter in Russia trying to use her 1500 watt hair dryer with a converter good for 1200 watts.

NO. The prongs on the plug are round in Spain (they are flat in the U.S.). Try to go to some stores that sell plugs from different countries and you can buy it there. |

You may need to have an adaptor to fit in the wall sockets there. You need to make sure that your charger is 90 to 240 v. that way it will work in all countries. You can but them at any stors that sells electronics. |
