I am sure you are one of those Americans that think Spain is placed next to Mexico or something like this.

please read a book someday.

I have no doubt this question will be reported...

Most people in Spain are white... we are European...

However there are areas with large Chinese, Romanian, Latin American and more common North African immigrants...

According to a recent genetic survey, 78% of Spaniards are European Caucasians (most of them original Iberic inhabitants, also Romans, Goths, Celts and other peoples who settled down throughout history), 20% have partly Jewish genes and 12% from Nothern Africa (Berber tribes, of the time of the Islamic conquests). This distribution depends on the region (in some of them the Jewish and Arabic component is very low, in others like Southern Spain higher) and of course many people are a mixture of these 3 main components.

Now there are millions of immigrants from Latin America, Northern Africa, Pakistan, China, etc, so society is more multiracial.

Spanish people are very similar in their looks to Italians and most of the people have brown hair (not blak).

There are relatively few non-white people in Spain.

The largest groups of immigrants are Moroccan, followed by Roumanians and Ecuadorians.
Top foreign nationalities in Spain are Moroccan (675k), Romanian (664k), Ecuadorian, (413k), Colombian (264k) and British.
Most Moroccans and Ecuadorians work in in agriculture and construction.
If you want more statistics, have a look at

I can tell a stupid, mindless American posted this question. Someone who thinks of dark skinned Mexicans/Latin Americans as Spaniards.

Yeah. Like, about 99% or so!

There are a large number of African Immigrants, but they probably don't figure into the numbers, because they are largely illegal, and not counted for that reason.

The south has a large representation of people of "Moorish" descent, but they, too, are considered "white".

What else would you expect to find in Europe, anyway?

maheshwari
I`m from san Sebastian, Basque Country, and I can ensure you that we are really white people. We have nothing to do with the south of Spain.

BlackCup
Yes, native Spanish people are white European people, and no, they don't have any racial connection to Arabs, Gypies or Indians.
