There is now a official words anthem for Spain, thanks to the sporting fraternity.Other countries have done similar in the past like Russia etc

San Marino and Mauritania's anthems have no lyrics.
FYI--lyrics were written for the Spanish anthem, but the official version has no words.

tonalc1 is right - the Russian anthem until 2000 (the Patriotic Song) was also wordless and, like in Spain, there was pressure on the authorities to provide words for the national football team and its supporters to sing at matches!
