Drinking Ages in Spain... Bend Rules?

you must be 18 years old to buy alcohol or to drink in a pub, IN ALL OVER SPAIN.

in some tourists areas, owners from pubs or shops break the law and sell alcohol to anybody, without ask for identification.

maybe in Salou you can buy alcohol, because it is tourist area, you can take the risk... good luck

anyway it is sad to come to Spain only to drink alcohol... there are so many things to do and see... anyway, you are a child, i canÂ´t ask for more.

It is 18 but from what i have seen it doesn't seem to matter if you have the euros they will serve you.

im_Liverpool_till_I_die, firstly I dont care what that website says. ITS WRONG!. the Legal age is 18! The do bend the rules a lot, bit they are getting stricter! i dont know wer Salou is as I live in Malaga! But all over Spain its 18!

ItÂ´s 18. If you asked or say you are 17 nobody will serve you. But you will have no problem if you act like there is no rule you break

Me and my friend thought switzerland were really strict about it (its 18 there), until we walked straight past 2 bouncers to a club, and got with ease at a festival (we're 17).

Hi, me and my friends went to Spain when we were 16 and 17 which was two years ago. We all got served because in Spain the drinking age IS (Despite what other people have been telling you) 16! I would say go and enjoy it like we did, you will get served alcohol in supermarkets and restaurants, however you may have to shop around for a nightclub for you to go to, in which case I would suggest making sure your hotel is pretty decent on that front...Usually the closer to the beach the better but obviously your going to Barcelona so won't have that option...I would say look on the following website for proof, I know from experience and the sight has confirmed it...http://hangoverguide.com/factbook/worlds-drinking-ages.html

no one even checks...the only thing that might happen is if you order something with a high percent of volume. the laws go by the volumes of drinks, so you'll be fine!
