The Spanish language (Español) is not really a language the correct name is Castilian. The Castilian maybe is the principal language of Spain but is not the only one spoken. Basque and Catalonian are other equal important languages of the country.

Where does one begin? Spain is a vast and complex country with the influences of many different cultures. It's size means there is a wide diversity of climate, scenary, cuisine, culture and even dialects.
Take a look at my web site:-
http://www.costadelsol-vacationrentals.com although it is predominately about the Costa del Sol there is also some interesting information about Andalucia and some of the major towns and cities in Spain.

spain was once predominately muslim.....then the king and queen(the same one's that sponsered Columbus's voyage to america) proposed a rule: either you convert to Catholocism or leave. that is why spain today is mostly catholic.
