The journey from Girona Airport to Barcelona costs 13.80 euros per person, and takes around 1hr 10mins. Buses are timed to meet incoming flights and you can get tickets from the ticket office outside the arrivals terminal, NOT on the bus.

It's a good hour by bus along the motorways into Barcelona, so your 21 Euro each is actually money well spent, as a taxi would work out considerably more expensive. I think the rate you were given is a return fare, not a single.

Take the bus, they have regular bus schedule that will bring you straight to the center of Barcelona... then from Barcelona, as you are with children I'll take the taxi.. The trip from Girona to Barcelona take a good hour.. in taxi it will be too much expensive! The bus service is very good (I lived 3 years in Barcelona).

Darlin', Girona is, like an hour from Barcelona, and, I'm pretty sure c/Sant Bertran is nowhere near parc GĂ¼ell. but there are two streets with almost the same name. We stayed on one of them, and let me tell you, location was great, but neighborhood: not so much so...let me check on that.

If you can't change your flight to one that arrives at BCN, take the bus, but it's going to be a pain in the rear, I'm sure.

This link will show you where c/Sant bertran is:

This is where c/Bertran is: (Be sure you know which street it is.)
