Me and two of my mates are going to Barcelona and will be staying in a hotel near La Ramblas. Could you please suggest cool bars and clubs near that area? What good locations are there to visit?
If you want to go to the really cool bars and clubs I would simply suggest asking some locals while you're there. They will be more than happy to direct you to the hottest night life places there.

I'm not too sure about bars and clubs either, but as a previous answer pointed out the Sagrada Famillia is a must see. As is Gaudi's garden, it is beautiful.
Barcelona is a lovely city you'll have a wonderful time.

From Barcelona porto adventura a theme park akna universal studios is 45 mins away by train and stops outside the theme park. The beer is huge and cheap in there also plus its a laugh, the rides are awesome. The beaches are one bus ride/ train stop away and so are the bars. Good luck!

I don't know about bars and clubs, but you have to see the Sagrada Familia- it is absolutely the most impressive architecture you will ever see! I loved Barcelona- it's a wondeful city!

There is a cool club called Catwalk near the Olympic Village. If you have facebook, add Kiki Barcelona as a friend. He is an American club promoter in Barcelona and always has the hookups to cool clubs.

I went to this really cool bar just off La Ramblas but I don't think it has a name. It was in a big square at the end near the Columbas statue. There isn't even a sign, you have to ring the bell to get up there, which is weird because it was mostly backpackers and expats. Me and my friend went there with a girl from Barcelona. Maybe someone else knows what I am taking about. Anyway, don't worry when you walk down La Ramblas people will be passing out flyers for discos and bars.
For attractions I really liked hanging out in the gothic quatre, some really neat wine bars and such.
