Going to Torremolinos, spain in april. What is it like and is it in Malaga.? |
Hi, just booked to go to torremolinos in April.
So Excited, just wondering is it in Malaga or near Malaga.
I've looked on the maps and it seems to be in it, but not quite sure.
Also if anybody's been can they tell me what they thought of the overall holiday including attractions and nightlife.
What is the temperature going to be like in april.
Many thanks and so grateful for your time

It's about 12 kilometres west of Malaga City in the Province of Malaga. There as many things you can do in the area. It really depends on whether you are hiring a car or not. I know all the places to visit as I live in Malaga. Hopefully you will get good weather, but April is a difficult month to predict. If the weather is good, it will feel very warm to you.
If you do take the train to Malaga, make sure you go right to the end of the line. That will take you right into the heart of the city and close to the old town.
Here is a link to a useful website

I'm pretty sure that Torremolinos is in the PROVINCE of Málaga. In any case, it's about 20 mins away on the commuter train. I thought it was overbuilt thirty years ago. No interest in going back. I'm not into overbuilt beaches. |

torremolinos is just outside malaga, it is very built up, lots of tall buildings, it was one of the first resorts that the english started to on holiday to back in the 60's, it is a typical english breakfast in nearly every cafe on the front place, if you are after excitement then that is the place, lots of bars to get your cervasso and tapas, it doesnt have alot of culture, but there is nothing stopping you travelling around, good bus service and trains, not alot of nightclubs open that time of the year, temps will be about 18 to 22 in the day, but take something warm as night time temps drop |

Hi,
i live about half hour away from Torremolinos.
Yes its in Malaga. its about 10 minutes away in car. thers also a train and buses that go to malaga.
Its a very touristy place. everything is english and so are all the people. its a good family place to go as theres alot going on. the beaches are big. night life is good and theres loads of touristy shops.
if you are looking for something more spanishy then just go down the coast a bit to estepona or sabinillas (where i live). or even malaga is very spanish with not a lot of tourists.
weather is normally hot. (compared to england, its boiling lol) dont think you will need jackets. just take jumpers and trousers as at night it can get a bit chilly.
have a great time..

Make sure you check out the fuengirola zoo which is only like ten minutes away on the train. Amazing.
It's not in Malaga but that's not far on the train. I stayed in Fuengirola but visited Torremonlinos twice on the holiday. The temp will be moderate but tquite dry. Night life I'm not sure about because I was there with my boxing group so we didn't get out much but the bars are great during the day.
Have a good time. |
