Hi we want to go from Spain (not far from Malaga) to Morrocco for a day trip but would consider staying one night. We have four children, youngest is a baby so want to do it as easily as possible but ...
looking for a few different places to go, which play good music! and have a nice atmosphere. Preferably a couple of places with a bit of RnB/hip hop as well as Spanish music....any suggestion ...
I'm getting the ferry to Santander for a two week holiday, starting next week. Does anyone have any tips on 'must visit places' other than Bilbao, Santander itself, San Sebastian and S...
Where would recommend for 7 days in Spain, for a 55+ couple? We prefer somewhere away from the 20-something party crowd.
Historical sites would be nice....

Going to majorca in july?
staying in alcudia. have been loads of times before but tend to stay in alcudia . but now the kids are oldes we would like to venture a little further out, so what would you recommend for days and nights out in majorca?
I would suggest a trip to Soller. You can have a coffee or beer at one of the lovely restaurants in the old town square, or lunch - went to Cafe Soller last time and it was lovely. You can then take the 100 year old tram down to the port area. There is a lovely beach there where you can swim, some nice restaurants and some shops to browse in. From the port area you can take a number of boat trips. I would suggest a trip to Sa Calobra, which is a really stunning inlet hidden in the mountains and accessible by boat or by a very scary drive through the mountains (did that once, never again - I cried all the way there and back!).
Soller is truly lovely, a wide sweeping bay with the wonderful back drop of the mountains. I think you will that both adults and kids have a lovely day out.

For some cultural immersion in Majorca, head to the northwest coast to some secluded coves and several quaint old towns and villages. The interior of Majorca is still teeming with an agricultural community that prizes their windmills, olive and almond trees.

It would be quite a distance to go to Palma for the day to see the cathedral etc but there isn't much near alcudia except Porta Pollensa, can pickafort and old alcudia.

The mountains in Mallorca are stunning. I never go to the coast, I always head to the mountains. There are some great places to see once you get away from the hordes on the beach.
