Kids in Spain are more attracted to cigarettes, alcohol and drugs than the studies, I used to lived there and left because I didn't want my kids to be like that, in general spanish people stay at home with mom and dad until 34 years old, very laid back and lazy.. not precisely a country where you feel challenge and actually I find Spain behind other european countries when it comes to new technology, just take a look at the ATM machines they use... not my favorite place

Hi there, I live in Spain, even though I have not grown up here, but I did go to evening school and am living here for the last 8 years. I suppose it depends on the part of Spain, but here in Andalucia live is very relaxed. Most of the shops open at 10 am, close at 2 and re open again at 5 and close at 8. Commercial Centers open until 10 pm. Spanish kids are outside a lot, have dinner quite late (around 9 or 10 pm) and go to bed late, even at midnight. The weather here allows for that as it is very mild and warm, very hot in the summer.
Your question is not easy to answer, it probably is like growing up anywhere else in Europe, kids go to school and after that to the beach, many of them smoke and drink and party. Not sure whether it helps you ... :-) The kids I met were not interested in studies at all, went to school only because they did not want to work and out of around 30 in my class only 2 passed the exams, me and a friend of mine.

Hi I grow up in Spain and I proud of that after seen how children grow up in London.
We have a big influence from our parents and religion but this last one is changing a lot as chids this days do not go to church.
I went to a catholic school, play basketball and spend as much time as possible in the streets playing with my friends, running in the park and doing family things as visiting relatives on Sundays.
We always try to eat together ,however this become difficult with all the classes and work but we always try to share a meal together, specially on Sunday.
I never smoke but went to discos from the age of 16, it was a way to dress up,( no uniform, make up) and meet with your friends, meet boys, dance etc.
I did my first communion but after that I did not go to church often what my mum always complaint about it.
I grow up with Barrio Sesamo and listening to Mecano.
We were convinced that if you want to work you have to study hard and get a degree, speak a language etc
I guess things have change a lot.
Hope that can help you.

i'm not spanish but i love spanish music!

Jenifer Pe(n~)a is my favorite but I love Natalia Oreiro and Miguel Cadenas too!!! and Ricardo arjenas, and chayanne.. lol i have so many more!!!

As for food, I only know that in their torturas (omelet) they put patatas [potato]

that was my personal thoughts... you can go on these sites to check these links/url... in the second one you'll have more details
in the third one you can get proverbs, lyrics and some words you might use for your project.. good luck

Spain is many countries all rolled into one therefore the culture in Spain is very varied and interesting. Its Atlantic shores and the huge plains of the interior have very distinct characteristics. Similarly, the Mediterranean Costa's change ‘flavour’ as they sweep down from the Pyrenees

See http://www.spain4uk.co.uk/Spain_culture.htm for more details
