Believe it or not Spain is the fastest expanding telecoms provider in Europe. They do not just do beers and paella. Ask Telefonica its readily available in most areas....as are dikshonaries four yur spelink. |

yes i live inland of alicante and have had wireless broadband for about 4 years with very few problems and a decent speed but you will pay more over here than in the uk,i currently pay 30€/month for 2gb. |

I use Telefonica for my ADSL link and Wifi, not had any problems whatsoever, the Wifi connection is very good and strong. I keep away from those firms offering this and that for the cheapest rates, they do so for only a few months, then whack up the price, so its best to deal with Telefonica, and should you have troubles just ring them on their help line, you can ask for a person who speaks english if you are having trouble with the "lingo" which does help.
Also many Wifi boxes are NOT compatible with Telefonica even though they might say so on the boxes!!!
We are down on the costa del sol, but inland some folks might experience some difficulties due to access etc., but in general folks will be OK. |

Telefonica could only offfer 'dial-up' where I live in Estepona. Tried lots of companies too, but most declined. Only YA said they could do it but only 1 mB. Now have Wi-Fi and have no probs. One payment for installation only, and then nothing else to pay. |

we arrieved here four years ago and applied to telefonica for a phone line with internet conection they said it would take 10 to 15 days before they could install it after phoning them twice somtimes three times a week for about four months we gave up so dont bother with telefonica they are a waste of time. we then looked in one of the english papers and found a company that installed wirless internet we had it installed though we did have problems at first they were sorted out. we now have a good conection but the weather does afect it quite a bit but that is normally due to power failure at the relay mast i dont now where in spain you are we are near malaga and use a company called conecta 4 hope this helps |
