Are you looking to go to Alicante town or the province of Alicante, the province covers a wide area, We live South of Alicante about 50 minutes drive but are in the province, We live and work here so let me know what info youi require and i will find it for you, if you have booked somewhere let me know what kind of holiday you are looking at and i will let you know where you can find the things you are interested in, If you hire a car you can find something for everyone.

I catch a plane to Alicante as often as I can. We usually stay nearer Benidorm where we have friends and relatives. We get the train down to Alicante from Bennie for a couple of euros on one of the days and from Bennie up to Altea or Denia on another day.The weather is usually quite warm, all food and drink is reasonably priced and I buy some clothes over there as they are half the price of ours. I take about 50 euros with me and then change the rest of my pounds in Benidorm market and usually get a non commissionable rate of about 146.50.Steve, Pauline and the boys give us a good welcome in Bar Sol at the end of Levante beach and as it's cheaper than staying at home,I am going to book again straight away!

I went about three years ago, it had a lovely beach there. However there wasn't many shops.

It was flippin hot, but I enjoyed it, only drawback was having to get a taxi to the beach because the apartments block I stayed in were 30 miles from the sea!

I don't like Alicante city. Murcia is far better. Though it's terribly hot in summer.

fashion daahling !
Oh my God !!! my friend just phoned me from there yesterday !! we used to go there and it was so beautiful...the beach was within walking distance of the apartment, there were local water parks which were sooo much FUN , plenty of friendly people around, very hot at this time of year though my friend told me that weirdly...this year is a bit cold and windy.

you can walk around alicante in your swim wear - bikini if you are a girl, theres plenty of local grocery stores and you should buy a special milk shake called "chuffie" - its dilcioussss

there a plenty of gorgeous scenery with beautiful flowers rocks.... it was lovely :o)

Happy Murcia
I used to live some miles to the south but I never really liked Alicante....
Go to Puerto de Mazzaron about 60 miles away, spanish holiday port, quite a few brits but still very spanish.....
