god, i loved this place, i went there to stay after i visited on a previous holiday, when i stayed in cala llonga.
it is the perfect middle. its quiet enough for families. and lively enough to go on adults holiday. the market is great for nick nacks to take home. the beaches are great. there is a lovely little one, if you stand on the main beach, facing the sea, turn right and carry on, you will reach a river mouth with the best bar in the town walk up the side of the bar, and cross the bridge, turn left and walk straight up. it will take you up a slight incline, to a path that goes right,up the hill further or left towards the sea. go left, follow the path to the right, and you have to go "off roading" for a few mins over a dry hill. you should see the beach there.there is a bar/cafe and it is perfect for snorkling. i loved it, so did the kids.
go to the link below for some really nice appartments, it is where i stayed. you wont regret it..... |

Yes! And well done you on chosing such a lovely place for your next holiday. I have to say that it was my favourite resort on the island.
There is a really pretty walkway right along the beachfront which is slightly raised. I wouldn't quite call it a promenade but it's that kind of thing. There are lots of shops, bars and pavement-side cafes and restaurants along there with direct acces to the sand which is pale golden, very clean and very safe for children. The water was clear and you can hire sunbeds & umbrellas on the beach quite cheaply.
There is also a pretty marina which is nice.
The whole resort has a lovely atmosphere. Its not too large, (I think it's the 3rd largest in Ibiza) but just big enough.
Nightlife is low-key(ish) but lively enough with some music bars and a number of bars and plenty restaurants. I think it's livelier now than it used to be at night, but I do think the resort has the best of both worlds. We really loved it there.
If you really fancy clubbing- then theres a bus that takes you to San Antonio's hottest place- Amnesia. I'm pretty sure theres an hourly service. SE has a new club called Guarana- well worth a go :-)
If you're not into clubbing perse, then theres always plenty of other things to do and places to go in Santa Eulalia.
From Mariner's beach a peaceful river-walk meanders up to the Roman footbridge spanning the river gives onto another pretty paved walkway leading to the little beach of Calo de S'Alga at Siesta with it's small-village atmosphere
Have a little look at the 360 degree panorama picture here for a good view of the seafront area.

You don't say what hotel you're staying in, but actually. most of them are absolutley fine and I am sure you're going to have a great holiday.
All the very best of luck! |

Ibiza is the third largest of the Balearic Islands, covering just 225 square miles (585 square km), but in recent times it has become the best known of the archipelago and a hugely popular destination for young people and its colourful and frenetic nightlife. See http://www.spain4uk.co.uk/balearic_canary/ibiza.htm for more details. |

Yes it is actually a really nice part of Ibiza. There is a really nice ice-cream place where you can choose an ice cream and sit in the 'restaurant' and eat it there and a selection of nice fish / tapas restaurants. Not tacky at all. The beach is nice and clean and not too crowded. At night they have a selection of stalls on the beachfront where you can buy jewellry / t shirts / cheap trinkets etc. But stay away from San Antonio, which is full of young, drunk, British kids throwing up everywhere and causing fights, and everywhere you look there is British fish and chip shops and all day breakfasts (unless that is what you want!) If you do go to San Antonio be careful of the rip-off merchants with scratch cards (timeshare sharks).Stay in Santa Eulalia and you should have a nice time. |
