Has anyone been to Cay Beach Princess Bungalows in Maspalomas Gran Canaria?

If so, what did you think of it?!

Hello Pizza.
I have not spent a night in it, but I have been there on a travel agents inspection visit- it was last year (May 2006)

Theres a video here:

http://www.thomson.co.uk/destinations/europe/spain/gran-canaria/maspalomas/apartments/cay-beach-princess-bungalows.html?ito=1556&itc=97&referrer=google

I used to sell these quite regularly until there was another complex of a similar name built (Cay Beach Bungalows) note the absence of the word "princess"
I never had a problem with thos apts, although when I was there last year, I felt that it certainly did offer 4 star facilities (Thomson give it 4 "t"s) but I felt that the actual accomodation was more like 3 star.

Its was perfectly clean and acceptable accomodation with a beautiful pool which had a rope bridge and loungers in the spa- very nice.
The apts themselves are of a basic standard but fairly recently decorated and were fresh enough. Of course we were only shown certain rooms which might have been specially cleaned for us.

The location of these is quiet but a taxi will be around 3-4 euros to The Jumbo Centre which is a laugh in the evening although if you are of a nervous disposition and don't care for drag acts you will be running for cover lol!

I think that there is certainly better accomodation around, but as long as you don't pay top dollar it's fine enough. Oh BTW there is a bit of a privacy issue in the apts ahem... thinning walls and all that so all I'm saying is.. keep the noise down during those intimate moments or everyone hears you!

Reviews are here...

http://www.holidaywatchdog.com/3576-Maspalomas-Cay_Beach_Princess_Bungalows-Holiday-Review.html

I think that it's optimistic to call them a 4 star accomodation, but they are a perfectly decent 3 star standard- you'll be fine!

All the best!
