Has anyone been to spain that can help me ? |
Hi, ive never been to spain before, but me and my sis age early 30's want to go for a 3night break in june.
Ive found cheap flights to benidorm, torremolinos/benalmadena, salou or Lloret de mar. Please can anyone help me choose which resort is best for us, i have no idea. we want good resteraunts,bars,boat trips and not mad nightlife(we dont want drunks throwing up in the streets etc) thanks for your time |

Hi, I live just outside Benidorm and there are good and bad points about the place. If you are coming in June, it's going to be very hot and full of young drinkers - that is, depending on where you go. There are some beautiful parts of Benidorm and you can avoid the drinkers, or just sit in a quiet Spanish bar. Nightlife is like nowhere else, and I've worked in Salou, Marbella, Tenerife, Lanzarote etc. Every street has Cabaret Bars, and a hell of a lot of Tribute Shows. Some lovely Italian, Spanish and Chinese restaurants + a couple of good Indian restaurants- if you want specific ones e-mail me. There are some boat trips to Peacock Island and Calpe and Denia, which are lovely, and we have the Lemon Express, which is a slow train which takes you through all the lemon groves and outskirts of Benidorm. Lovely! The Old Town is so pretty at night and its very well policed here now. Just be careful of the gypsy women sitting begging in the streets - they work in gangs and they operate by crowding you and swiping your bag in a flash. The beaches here are lovely and clean - they have won awards for best beach in Europe. Its a great place if you know where to go. Not like the TV programme!! Lloret de Mar is beautiful, is away from the real lunacy and has some stunnig places you can visit....
We did a day excursion up into the mountains to visit an Abbey where the Monks brew various alcoholic drinks and you get free samples....
Its good fun, let your hair down and enjoy.....you sure as heck won't know anyone there to be embarrassed in front off...... |
