Has anyone ever been to Nerja in Spain? |
Although I have plenty of information about this resort I wondered if any of you have first hand experience of this place. Thanks. Additional Details I am actually 62 so it sounds just my cup of tea. Thanks all. |

Very suprised that people say its not for the 18 - 30's because it certainly is suitable. I still like to party and there is a large square there that has about 20 music bars n stuff, an area that is similar to 24hour square in benalmadena if you have heard of that.
It is also popular with the 'slower generation' lets say because yes it is pretty and picturesque, has some nice beaches, tho not miles and miles of them and the aforentioned caves that I believe has or had at one point the largest single cave in Europe.
Popular with Europeans more than the Spanish.
I like the place, it has a nice mix. |

Yes. Nice, quiet calm little resort. Mostly older crowd and retirees. Beaches are pretty small. |

Nerja is lovely, the caves are definately worth a visit, the views from the Balcón de Europa are amazing and there are lots of lovely little bars to have a coffee. Nerja is quieter than some of the other resorts but is well worth a visit. |

Going there on Friday to stay with a friend. Totally baffles me why he's going there. Mind you, I'm an OAP (working in Spain) & he's no chick either '! Fuengirola or Benalmadena would be a better bet if you are under 30. Good luck. Ed. |

Yes I have been many times. My parents live in a little town near by.
It's very nice, clean and you feel safe wandering around. There are lots of nice bars and restaurants, although if you want a really good meal then you have to be selective. Pinocchio's pizzaria is amazing!
Nice little shops too. It's not the most happening place ever and it's full of British people. If you are happy with that then it's lovely! |

Its a nice place, more built up now than it used to be, more a family resort than one for clubs and nightlife.... |

May I add something you might be interested in? The bar "H2O" at Calle Filipinas/Playa Burriana is a wireless Internet access place (hot spot), just in case you bring your own notebook/laptop. You get a password for unlimited access if you order a drink. Very friendly people working there, by the way. 'wouldn't wonder if they were British ;-) Have fun! |
