Have you ever walked the Camino in Spain?

What was it like? How long did it take? What did it cost you? What did you encounter during your travels? How much did you spend? About how much money do you need?

there is an offical walk... and website
wait...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Way_of_St._James

Wikipedia has a site =)

It goes past my town =) Near Pamplona... I've always wanted to walk it... but never have =/ maybe one day

I'm sure there THOUSANDS of other sites and places where people have done the walk... but my advice is... for example if your going to spend 3 days in Navarra.. one day should be spent at the beach in Donostia (a bus ride from the city under 2€ there and back)

but... edit your trip to suite you... take busses and trains and turn it into an expidition... maybe don't walk half of it... but use the time you've saved to visit local places

and get the "passport" from the tourist office and collect the stamps =) it says about this in Wikipeida... I want someone to to the offical walk for me... give the passport to me... and I will spend the time they did on the walk visiting some other places xD

p.d. you almost can't get lost... there are "markers" EVERYWHERE

Have fun !! and Do it =)

Carousel
I often walk down the Camino de Málaga where I live. It takes me about 30 minutes on a good day. I doubt that's the one you are on about, but there will be thousands.

I know what you meant the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, but the word Camino simply translates to the word "road". So your question actually asked "Have you ever walked the road in Spain. Every town I know in Spain has a camino.

Carousel is being funny!

I am under the impression that you can start anywhere you want to, and stop at any time...If I could do it...make the time, that is, I would spend about a week doing the last bit. I know it doesn't truly count, but it would be enough.

I would love to! I think you should do it! I don't think it is tremendously expensive, and the people I have come across that have done it have said it was an experience they wouldn't give back!
