Hi!
Are you going to Benidorm or to "Beniamino"? I've never heard of the latter but maybe it's a small village near Benidorm??

I've been to Benidorm City and thought it was okay. They have big, beach-side (or beach-near) hotels, some with nice views, very nice beaches, a strip along the beach of bars and restaurants (which is far from picturesque but they serve a purpose, of course), and the Old Town, although very very small, isn't bad.

Benidorm, no matter the time of year, is full of foreigners, particularly British and German people so it doesn't have much of a "Spanish" feel. Prepare yourself for that.

I would recommend, if you can change plans, is go instead to nearby Alicante City - a little further down the coast from Benidorm. It has a bigger, nicer Old Town, a mountain-top castle/fort, nice beaches, marina, and a wonderful promenade.

Happy Anniversary and enjoy your time in Spain!

I had the same question before my first visit to Benidorm. It is a nice place to spend your vacation and I have already made three trips to Spain.

I have found a nice place to get information and hope this will help you. If you still planning to do your booking I recommend this site as well....

good luck

In summer is a perfect place, I´m from there, and their beaches are excellent.
I also would add is a perfect place for strangers because nearly half of the people there are british or german so all the shop assistant and things have english translation.
It first interest it's the beach but, because there are many tourist, there are in summer many festivals and concerts.
I think it's better visiting it in summer but you can choose, I know there are always things to do.

Depending on what you are expecting from a holiday in Benidorm will mean you should choose carefully where to stay.

If you want a lively holiday with a large number of British visitors stay in the Levante resort (Rincon De Loix) where most of the "Brit" bars are. would suggest the hotel Orange or Sol Pelicanos if this is what you want.

For a quieter holiday away from the British crowds stay at La Cala Finestrat which has a great small beach and is a more upmarket resort just a few miles from central Benidorm best hotel there is the Gran Hotel Bali. Although not officially Benidorm it is considered part of the resort and is just 10 minutes on a bus into the main resort.

For the best of both worlds for fun bars and a bit of real Spain stay in Benidorm old town best hotel the Avenida ( fantastic food) just 50m from the Levante beach. In the heart of the old town yet only 10 minutes stroll to clubs and pubs along the Levante. If you want cheap and cheerful right on the beach look at the Petit Palau, basic budget apartments but they are right on the beach in an ideal location.

If you are visiting in the Winter book a 4 star hotel ( good value in Winter starting at only 180€ half board for 7 nights) avoid 2 star as they tend to be part of the Spanish pensioners scheme offering cheap holidays via the goverment so the food may not be to your taste!

You will find all the info you need and some good photos to help make an informed choice at the resource mentioned. Have fun it is a great town - I have lived here 5 years.

Ps Easyjet tend to be best value airline at the moment.
