Las Ramblas is the heart of Barcellanoa…long double street with all shops and pubs cafè around but it is very turistic…you should go around in all the street around ramblas…and also on the Barceloneta on the cost…beaches and a lot of cafès…..
Around the centre …in the little street you can find strange and very nice cafès shops….i went there two times and I am going next month again…barcellona is amazing!

went to Bracelona While I stayed in Salou 3years ago.

Las Ramblas Is well worth a visit. Loads of great shops. There are also street entertainers known as moving statues there. They will move when you least expect it.

We had a Characture drawing of us done too.

If you are looking for any shopping inparticular. Dont buy in the first place you see.

Have a good look around and always haggle.

If you are into Football then Nou Camp is a must.

If you do go there try and go via an excursion. You will get a tour of Stadium.

Also going Back to Salou in September and Barcelona is Definately on the Agenda.

Take an open top bus tout there are two routes and you can hop on and off and change between red and green routes. they supply ear phones and their is a commentary English is channel three. well worth the money. do it before you shop.
there is a store on the square by the station it is worth a visit. Have a coffee or meal in the top floor reastaueaunt. The view is incredible Los Angles Cords I think it is called

The Ramblas is not a place to go shopping but the streets to the left when you are heading for the sea are. The other great shopping streets are Paseo de Gracia, Port del Angel and Rambla Catalunya. The food market in the Ramblas is fantastic.

Nou Camp is a football ground. I have been ........boring unless you are a Barcelona fan and like all empty football grounds. The museum notices and explanations are in Catalan. (Only understood by 7 million people, most of whom are not there). A match would be something else!
My high spot : The shop has a very expensive nativity set with the holy family dressed in Barcelona colours. Kitch at its best!

The streets of Barcelona are alive by day or night, providing the visitor with a safe place for strolling around, whether for shopping, eating or simply passing the time of day. There is also 1 mile long city beach with clean soft sand, ideal for sun bathing.

See http://www.spain4uk.co.uk/places/barcelona.htm for more details

If you want good clothes shopping go off the ramblas down the side streets. Like the other one said, don't buy the first one you see. And be very careful there... There are professional pick pockets around those parts. For classier shopping you should go up to the mall on Avenida Diagonal... There's also a good restaurant called "Si Senor" next to the Hilton hotel just down the street from there.

They Rambas is worth a visit but check with manuel first because he came from Barcelona according to Basil Fawlty.

la ramblas isnt really a shopping street. its more full of restaurants and pubs and tourist shops. but the side streets are where you find the shops. there are two fairly big shopping centres that i can remember, one at the square on the top of la ramblas and one on the side street that runs directly along la ramblas. and around these are good shops, both typical shops like H&M and other one off shops. i found nu camp a bit boring but there is cool views from that direction. we took the tourist bus there and if u have the time its worth seeing but if ur days are full id skip it. make sure u see sagrada familia (thats not spelld rite!) and park guell and the marina area. take plenty time to walk around the city, esp the old parts. and look at the market places. but mind ur wallet n dont walk round too much on ur own either.
