I am just back from there on monday. it ws fantastic. i went with my mum, dad and my 2 kids. it is really family orientated and there is loads to do. the food is great and the beach is literally on the doorstep. yiou'll have a ball!!

Now there's a blast from the past.
I went to the Condessa de la Bahia with mum and dad in 1976.
I obviously can't tell you what the hotel is like these days over 30 years on... damn feeling old now.
It is however literally right on the beach front. The beach is very nice and the sea shelves out very gently. In other words it's shallow and you have to be a long way out before it starts getting significantly deeper. So in that respect it should be ok for kids. Well it was ok for me as a six or seven year old :o)

It is cold in majorca in october but hotel is lovely and beach and food good, Alcudia is a great place for kids but lots of it has closed by october.
