Pompal '09.
You could try the Hotel Santa Monica in Calella, where flights, transfers and half board accommodation for the three of you from the 13th - 20th June, with Thomsons would cost £638. It's very close to a lovely beach. I've stayed in Calella twice and enjoyed it there.
The next resort to Calella is Pineda and here you could stay at the Taurus Park. It's more expensive at £930, but this is a great hotel for kids and adults alike. The food and entertainment are very good, the kids club first class and the beach is right outside. I went there last July and can recommend it highly.
On the link below there is another hotel in Santa Susanna, just a few miles from Calella & Pineda, at £756.
All these resorts have a train running parallel with the beach which runs frequently and cheaply between Blanes and Barcelona.

Take something at Mar Menor: Airport Murcia-San Javier, small, easy to handle.
Rather take San Pedro del Pinatar, San Javier or Los Alcacares. All three are close to the airport, the beach at the Mar Menor is ideal for the kid: sand, nothing steep.
Look into www.sanpedrodelpinatar.es
www.sanjavier.es
www.losalcacares.es
for the tourism office and hotels
June will be relatively good price wise (before the Spanish vacations)
The three towns have a large, well kept boardwalk along the coast. Even in the towns are no hills.

Let's see. Your budget is £800. It costs, what? about £90/per person for the airfare, leaving you with: £530 for rooms for 5 days? for three people? I think you're really kidding yourself.

Get your flights reserved first, and you'll know how much to spend on rooms.
