How cold is it in Barcelona during New Years Eve? |
My friends and I want to go there and live in a tent somewhere in a city (hiking) from dec.25 to jan 05. Will we freeze to death?

I live in Barcelona and trust me I wouldn't want to sleep in a tent on New Year's eve. As someone else said the hostels are cheap enough. But saying that it depends on where you come from really. My parents come over here in November and wear t-shirts and I'm shivering next to them in my winter wear. I'd say it gets to about 10oC or 12oC here in December. Why not try a campsite with cabins? |

no you wont freeze to death but it will be pretty cold and probably wet too there are plenty of hostels cheap in the area why not try that |

Im from Scotland and now live in Barcelona, the temperature is ok at that time, a jumper or t-shirt with a jacket is sufficent, it really depends on the wind, sometimes it can be really cold when there is a strong wind.
Its coldest in the mornings
U definately wont freeze to death but take a nice jumper and jacket just incase!

I stayed in Barcelona between the same dates in 2004. The weather was reasonably warm and no jacket was required, and with the bars open all hours you may not be sleeping much at night time! |

Pack of lies! It´s freezing in winter in Barcelona. The temperature drops below zero and it snows every year. True it is colder in February but for camping or hiking expect below zero temperatures at night and searching for the sun. If it is cloudy it is obviously colder.
