Where I live they are turning mountainsides into Avocado orchards. It is very big business in this area close to Málaga. Most if not all the avocados here are destined for the American markets, where as other areas are for Europe.
Edit; With respect to Sue, one of the top starters here is avocado and prawns with Andalucian sauce. The avocados are always ripe and the prawns here are huge. |
