How do I find a friend I used to know in Spain? |
I served a mission there for my church and met some really good friends. They moved and I don't have their new address. Is there some way to track people down? When I search on the internet, should I use their 2 last names or only one? If I only use one, which one do I use? |

Go to http://www.PaginasBlancas.es - Spain's "White Pages" online. There, you'll need at least their first name and first last name (both last names is better, of course). And, the bad part is, you have to search by Province - one by one. You can't search all of Spain at once.
The above website is, probably obviously, the telephone white pages in Spain and all names found therein are those whose name is on the telephone statement - usually the "head of household" which, in Spain, is nearly always the man. So if your friend a woman, the wife or daughter living with a man - the head of the household - it'll be much more difficult finding that friend using this system.

I have been able to locate people using only their first last name.
Start with the white pages phone books. That would be the best place to start...just put 411.Spain into the search engine, and you should get a good start. FIRST last name...their father's name...the other is less important. |

Try facebook or tuenti. Most spanish people will use both surnames on these networking sites. If they use only one surname, it's the first. |
