Mum is right. And leave out the first 0 of your number.

I think youÂ´ve had your question answered r.e. numbers.

One other tip, if youÂ´re calling from Spain your best bet is, instead of using your mobile or ordinary payphone, go to one of the many internet/phonecall places where you can phone from inside a private booth for a much cheaper price.

the other answers are correct 0044 141 and the house number.
The cheapest way to phone home is to buy a phone card which will cost you 5 euros and you will get about 200 mins talk time with those.
The best one is a yellow one called "jazzcard" which will give you about 280 mins talk time for 5 euros.
DON'T PUT MONEY IN AN ORDINARY PHONEBOX it'll cost you a fortune.

Dial 00 44 141 then the rest of your number.

Go to a newspaper shop when you get here and purchase an international phone card, it will save you alot of money in the long run and you can use it almost anywhere. They cost 6E or 12E and last for ages. You need to dial 00 44 then miss your 0 and dial the rest of your number so....141 etc

0044 replaces the area code's 0.

So if you were phoning 01234 567890, you would from Spain, dial 00441234 567890.

dial 00-44 plus the UK number minus the 0 at the beginning e.g.00-44-141-********. If you get a 5 or 10 Euro pre-paid phone card calls are really cheap. You can get the cards from post offices, newsagents and souvenir shops and the instructions are in English.

If you are calling the UK from Spain, you need to dial 00 44 then miss out the first 0 of the area code.
For example, if you were calling us on our 0870 number from Spain, the number would be: 00 44 870 763 0422

Dial 0044 first then subtract the first zero from your number. eg; if you were calling this number 0161 525 6464 you would dial 0044 161 525 6464. Also i would advise you to use a telephone card that you will be able to purchase from your hotel reception or local shop. This will be more cost effective than using your mobile and will spare you the drama of payphones stealing your money. I hope this helps you xx
