and how do you get from the airport to the city?

it is about 100km. you can take a taxi but if you want to save money just take a bus. the bus station is in front of the main entrance of the airport. transport in spain and especially in catalunya is fabulous (buses always on time, comfortable and usually cheap)

92 Km.to the centre.

It can take quite a long time by car because of traffic

Bus is €12 or €21 return to Estacio del Norte in Barcelona.

Watch yourself at the bus/train station, by the way. The place is rife with pickpockets, they'll try and get you into a lift while one of them distracts you and the other goes through your pockets. One of them nearly got away with my wallet. Same for every city, sadly ...

Abotu 60 miles.

Taxi or rental car are your two options. Unless you are staying in a nice hotel and they might offer a shuttle service for a lesser charge.
