It's a journey of approx. 15 minutes and the cost will be between 20 - 25 euros & can vary before and after 2200hrs. As you leave the arrivals hall through the double doors, look on the wall to your right and you will see the fares quite clearly displayed for all the main resorts. Check with the driver though as, unfortunately, there are always the odd few who spoil it for the rest.
As an alternative, there is also a train every 30 mins to Arroyo de la Miel station, which is between Benalmadena Costa & Benalmadena Pueblo but not far from many of the tourist apartments of Benalmadena. The train runs from the airport at 14 mins past and 44 mins past the hour and costs about 1.15 euros. A taxi from the station to hotels & apartments costs 4 euros.
The "benalmadena homestead" site gives plenty of useful information for the resort, including all methods of transport.
Addition - Have just seen your add on. Vista de Rey is not exactly in Benalmadena, but Torremeulle which is between Benal and Fuengirola. Torremeulle railway station is right outside the hotel, so I would certainly now recommend the train from the airport to the hotel as you will have no distance to carry your luggage. Depending on how many are travelling you will save between 40 - 50 euros, on the return trip, as the taxi fare will be between 25 - 30 euros each way. |

Hi , I live there, it will only take about 10-15 mins to get there by taxi. To Fuengirola is 40euros and thats about 25mins so i would say 15-20 euros max, but make sure you ask him to quote a price before you get in! Otherwise he will charge you what he wants, they are bad like that! There are no meters as such. So ask the price! Make sure its not a private one too. they should be white with numbers etc on. |

Its not very far and its not expensive but cant remember exactly how many Euro it costs. |

I paid 25 euro to fuengirola which is a bit further, ask before you get in the taxi and offer 5 euros less which you could use for the tip if you see fit, ie helps with luggage etc. |
