Malaga airport to Malaga City centre is approx. 8kms (a fraction under 5 miles). The taxi fare should be in the region of 15 euros, as I pay 20 euros to Arroyo de la Miel, which is a longer journey. However, when you leave the arrivals terminal at Malaga airport there is a large sign on the wall, by the taxi stop, giving all the prices for the various destinations.
You have two very good and cheaper alternatives worth considering.
First is the bus, which runs every half hour, into the centre of Malaga at a cost of 1.15 euros. This takes around 20 minutes.
Secondly there is a train from the airport to the city centre. This also runs half hourly and costs between 1.20 & 1.30 euros. The journey time is about 10 mins.
