How is the education in spain paid for?

Xabier
From the Government
From the Church
From the parents

[For schools]

College's most are "half-paid" so you'd pay around 500€ for a year... with the book's

Universities are also paid yearly and the prices vary from University to Course and the time you'll be there for

guiri
Education is 'free' in Spain. It is paid for out of taxation.
There are private schools and universities where the parents have to pay.

If you want to go to one of the better schools (through high school) you go to a church run school, generally, and they charge tuition.

University can be done quite inexpensively, compared to the US, anyway. and the tuition is paid out of pocket...something like about $500 US for a semester...I think.

Public schools are "free", that is, run by the state and financed through taxation. Private schools obviously aren't free.

There are also public and private universities. Private universities are quite expensive, whereas public ones are relatively inexpensive, affordable to anyone.
