With the new AVE high-speed train you take less than 3 hours from Barcelona (Catalonia) to Madrid and this train also stops at two other Catalana towns: Tarragona and Lleida. |

Depends...by car, about 10 hours to Barcelona (Cataluña is a fairly large province. I suppose you mean to Barcelona, less if you are just trying to get to the border closest to Madrid.)
By ordinary train, about 8 hours. If you want to find the AVE times, you'd have to go to the train site..renfe.es. I believe the electrotren takes about 5 hours. Again, you can get exact times with the renfe site.
By bus, probably longer than by car.
By plane, about half an hour in the air, an hour or so from boarding to deplaning. |
