If you are planning which ferry is best, Plymouth to Santander or Portsmouth to Bilbao, I chose the ferry to Santander. It is about 10 hours quicker. The journey from Santander to Bilbao is only about an hour on the motorway. Driving from Santander should take you less than 10 hours to Murcia with stops if you need to do it in one go.
