I would recommend 3 days. Great food. Shopping is good--but many stores there are everywhere now. Architecture is the key element in this city. Las Ramblas gets pretty sketchy after midnight, but is enjoyable anytime beforehand. La Sagrada Familia and Park Guell are the "must do's" for this city. |

2-4 days should be pleantly. I just went a few weeks ago with a friend and we got on the double decker bus ($22 euros for 2 day unlimited pass) most of the day. The bus brings you to all the most famous attractions and when you are done you just get back on. |

You can see the major sights of the city in 2 - 3 days, but i would stay longer (4 -5 days). |

In Barcelona I would say 4 to 5 days. You can take the bus line that take you to the most interesting places, like Sagrada Familia, the Gaudi houses, the Parc Guell, the Olimpic Ring (Anillo Olimpico). There are two lines the red and the blue. Visit the "Barrio Gotico" , the old city, but stay in the street were there are people. In the Diagonal there is a tram that can get you to the designers stores.
We went last December for my 15 wedding anniversary with two children of 9 and 10 and we really enjoy the city. Last time I was there was on my honeymoon fifteen years ago. We find the city very nice, I really love it. We stay for nine days and we don't see it all. I really enjoy walking in the streets. |

Barcelona is a beautiful city. I stayed there for 5 days once. However, 5 days was only enough to basically see most of the tourist attractions. If you just wanna basically see the city. I'd say 4-6 days. However, if you wanna see it on a deeper level. 10-14 days. If you REALLY wanna get into the city, you need one month. You could do that if you really love the city. I stayed in paris for a month once. |
