Galicia is an absolute beautiful paradise in the summer but life is a bit harsh in the winter months. I have found this region of Spain to be my favorite. The food is wonderful, if you like seafood. The beaches are the very best in Spain. They are not overdeveloped and ugly like in Benidorm, Marbella and Fuengirola. This area is the most overlooked and preserved. You can find Spain as it was before all of the tour operators ruined it in the south and east so long age.
The only caveat is that rain is a possibility, but only expect it one or two days out of a fortnights holiday, anyway on the rain day go see an old palace or prehistoric cave or Celtic ruins.
Go and enjoy. Leave Benidorm and Fuengirola for the beer guzzling malodorous louts.

The food especially the seafood is great, the bread, Santiago, a visit to a castro, the pies, the vino. (It is surprisingly unspoilt outside the main towns).

I did like the rain in August as I was living in a hotter place at the time.

The food (again).

Exploring the back roads.

Galicia is a very nice part of Northern Spain (close to Portugal), the weather is good, the people are friendly, & the local cuisine is unique & excellent!! If you do go to Spain, try to travel around if possible, as there are some other parts of Spain that are nice as well Malaga, Madrid etc. Enjoy!!
