As for how much stuff in Spain costs:
* 1 litre fresh milk: 1E
* Fresh chicken: 2.60-4 Euros per kilo
* Pork chops: 5-6 euros per kilo
* 1 kilo bag of poatoes: 70c
* Tomatoes (summer) 80c per kilo
* Green peppers: 1.80 per kilo
* Decent frozen pizza: 3.50
* Lamb - leg cutlets: 8-10 Euros per kilo
* Spanish cheese - from around 3E for 250g
* Cheddar - from around 6E for 250g
* Baby food - 80c - 1.50 per jar depending on brand.
* Food: for two people, our food bills are 350 â‚¬/month. An average restaurant per person bill is 12â‚¬. A glass of beer or wine at a bar is 1.50â‚¬. A tapa is 2â‚¬. A good lunch (menu del dia) is 5-9â‚¬
* A nursery for a child is 100 â‚¬/month for 5 hours/day.
* A parking space in a garage is 90 â‚¬/month.
* A gym is 30 - 50 â‚¬/month.
* A movie theatre ticket is 6â‚¬.

well, spain uses the euro, and according to this handy currency converter i got from google,
1 USD=0.7889 EUR
5 USD=3.94 EUR
10 USD= 7.889 EUR
20 USD=15.78 EUR
100 USD=78.89 EUR
1000 USD=788.9 EUR
also remeber that prices are different, so a 20 USD shirt will cost 16 EUR

It depends on the exchange rates baby, and they change on a daily basis. So check some uptodate online currency converter.

Same as it is everywhere the Euro is used...1â‚¬ is worth $1.27 today...at this moment. It changes constantly.

But, not knowing how much anything you might be buying there is at this moment, you can't really compare. Things are a bit pricey over there right now.

You can do the math for the rest of the numbers...for $5, you multiply by 5, etc. (first you have to divide...)

spanish money is the euro and the euro is worth about twice as much as the american dollar so one dollar is worth 50 cents, $5 is worth about 2.50 euro, $10 is worth about 5 euro, $20 is worth about 10 euro, $100 is worth about 50 euro, and $1000 is worth about 500 euro
