How much money should I take? |
Hey my loverly peoples just wanted to ask for some rough guidance about how much money I should take on a weeks holiday to Minorca? Me and a friend will be staying in a villa so I suppose it's all gonna be self catering (is that good or bad?). Soooo any rough ideas would be really good... gal needs to start saving! xxxx |

The pound to euro exchange locally is 1.45 = 1 pound sterling
If you wish to cook meals your self*By far the cheapest way*locally grown food salads ,fruit and veg are reasonable priced in the supermarkets and local small shops. Meat, chicken and pork are at a good price. If you wish to eat out then the cost will naturally be much high both in Spanish or English cafes and restaurants, approximately 12 euros per person. Beer from about 2euros,1.50 euro a coffee depending were you go!! So say for a good weeks holiday without scrimping 500 euros each = approx 345 pounds sterling. hope this is a little helpful and enjoy yourselves while on holiday. |

take more than you need in case you have an emergency,you can always bring the rest home.Maybe take about £200? I don't know the current exchange rate though.Hope you have a good time! Have a drink on me! |

Hi!
I´ve got a debit card here in the UK and when I go home and don´t change money, I withdraw it there, because I never know how much I am going to spend. Bank of Scotland charges 1.50 pounds for each transaction... I think it is quite handy... I would take some Euros though, just in case your card doesn´t work or whatever...

i ususally take approx £300 when i go to tenerife but i drink alot when im on hols so spend about £30+ a night on going out, then money for food and presents. have a wicked time you lucky thing!!!!!x |

i think £300-£400.should see you alright.has for self catering.
i think its good for one reason.you can eat when you want.and you dont have to rush back to the hotel.when its dinner.ect.that like been at school have a great hoilday. |
